Ann H. Hassett, age 87 of Clifton Park passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on August 23, 1928 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Mary E. Mullooly. She was predeceased by her brother John Mullooly. Ann was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Providence, RI. She spent most of her life raising her family. She was a life member of the Clifton Park Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. A devoted Catholic, Ann was a communicant of St. Edward’s Church for many years. She made hundreds of rosaries over the years that were distributed to impoverished countries throughout the world. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James “Wally” Hassett, sons Kevin (Karen), Keith (Mary Ellen), and Kenneth Hassett, sisters Dorothy Freed and Marjorie Murphy, and grandchildren Kiri, Ryan, and Courtney. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward’s Church in Clifton Park. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clifton Park Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 38 Old Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065, or the Autism Research Foundation, 4182 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA 92116.
