Rev. Dennis Charles Pressley, Jr., age 64 of Halfmoon finally was finally able to meet Jesus on July 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 27, 1952 in Riverside, NJ, he was the son of the late Dennis Charles and Margaretta Pressley. He was predeceased by his brother Brian Pressley. Dennis served in the US Army in Vietnam and became an ordained pastor in 1977. He began his ministry as a youth pastor of Bethel Tabernacle in Mt. Ephraim, pastor of the Gloucester Assembly of God in Gloucester, NY, the Newcomb Assembly of God in Newcomb, NY, and the Kitzmiller Assembly of God, in Kitzmiller, MD. He became an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Albany in 1999 and served as a priest for the Adirondack Mission, as well as a chaplain at Albany Med, St. Peter’s, Glens Falls Hospital, and the Sisters of St. Mary in Greenwich. He loved his family, sharing God’s Word, spending time in the Adirondack’s hiking the high peaks with his buddy Joseph Bickford, and his children. He touched many lives with his faith, his gentle calm spirit and his love for everyone. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Lynn Pressley, sons Jason Charles (Tonya Bailey) Pressley, and Joshua David (Erica Buzzell) Pressley, daughter Rachel Lynn Pressley, brother Rev. Harry Pressley, sister Suzanne McInnis, 11 grandchildren, his Aunt Betty and Uncle Sunny and a large family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 13 at 11 a.m. at the Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in Greenwich, NY. Interment will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Chapel South Jersey in West Deptford, NJ at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to help fight for the cure of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy by going to www.psp.org/donate/ways-to-give.html, a rare condition in which Dennis suffered from.
