Obituary of Deborah A. Foland

Deborah A. Foland, age 61 of Halfmoon passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 after a short illness. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Marion Berdar. Deborah worked for the Associated Press in Colonie for 25 years, retiring in 2009. She most recently worked as an administrative assistant for Overton, Russell, Doerr, and Donovan, LLP in Halfmoon for the past 7 years. She is survived by her husband Steven Foland, sons Larry Williamson and Rhett (Jen) Alger, daughters Nikki (Shawn) Breton and Sandra (Chris) Gray, sisters Stephanie Novak, and Denise (Ken) Lewis. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Latham on Friday morning.
