Obituary of Donald Q. Drislane

Donald Q. Drislane, Sr., age 75 of Clifton Park passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. He was born on July 8, 1941, the son of the late Quinn and Eleanor Drislane. He was predeceased by his sisters Caroline LeClair and Lois Obrist. Donald graduated Hamilton College and went on to OCS School in the US Navy and served four years during the Vietnam War. He worked as a business executive within the family business and owned and operated the John L. English Co. in Cohoes before his retirement. He had a deep love for the Adirondacks, and cherished spending time at his camp with his family. Donald was also a past president of the Clifton Park Sportsman’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Linda J. Drislane, daughters Kelley L. (Luke) Lambert, and Karen L. (Nathanael Vander Els) Waters, and his son Donald Q. (Erin) Drislane, Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dean, Jack, Danielle, Maya, Lindsey, and Leah. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7th at 11 a.m. the Saratoga National Cemetery.
