Jennie C. Dahoda, age 100 of Halfmoon, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Born in 1916 in West Crescent, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie Cervantes. She was predeceased by her husband, John Dahoda, son in law’s, Robert McHargue, and Art Lussier, daughter in law’s, Katherine and Mary Dahoda brothers, Raymond and John Cervantes, and grandsons David Chapman, Robert Dahoda, and Stanley Chapman. She was a fantastic and devoted mother. She spent most of her life as a seamstress, working for many textile plants in the area. She loved playing bingo, solving jigsaw puzzles, singing, dancing and doing the dishes. She is survived by her sons, John (Pat) Dahoda, Louis Dahoda, Arthur Dahoda and Raymond (Gigi) Dahoda, daughters, Genevieve Lussier and Julia (Ron Dreher) McHargue. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
