Clara Ceremuga Watrobski entered into eternal life on March 8, 2017. She was born to the late Thadeusz and Anna Ceremuga of Halfmoon, where Clara lived most of her life. Clara was predeceased by her sons Daniel Thomas Watrobski, David John Watrobski, and Donald Andrew Watrobski; her sisters Mary Marble of Waterford, Stasia Jawtakis of Colonie, Helen Landor of Clifton Park, and Jane Parent of Schuylerville; her brothers John and Edward, both of Halfmoon; and her dear friend Mary Lambert of Niskayuna. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1949 and was married to Stanley J. Watrobski from South Troy for 66 years. They had seven children. Clara enjoyed her country life and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, donated time in hospitals and nursing homes, and conducted religious classes at St. Mary’s Church, Crescent. She also worked at Shenendehowa cafeteria. She was a charter member of the Halfmoon Waterford Fire Company, a den mother for Halfmoon Cub Scouts, and enjoyed seeing friends at Polish dances. She is survived by her husband Stanley of Eddy Village Green, Cohoes; her children Carol (Thomas) Haigh of California, Cathy Watrobski of Latham, Christine (Stephen) Bemis of Clifton Park, and Douglas (Darcey) of Waterford; her sister Viola “Ladi” Masur of Glenville; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. A wake will be held at Catricala Funeral Home on Route 9 in Clifton Park on Saturday, March 11, from 9 to 10:30 am, followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, at 11 am and burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Waterford. Those wishing to donate remembrances should donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38101.
