Mary Claire Raymond, age 88 of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on April 13th surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Mahar of Albany and predeceased by her husband Harry Raymond Jr. in 2009. Claire was employed by the NY Telephone Company early in her career and later worked in several roles at the University at Albany. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and the outdoors, having been an active hiker well into her 80’s. She had a love of travel and enjoyed many international trips throughout her life. She is survived by her children Lynn Debiase (Frank) of Halfmoon, and Scott Raymond (Stephanie) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Ella and Livy Raymond and Marissa DeBiase; her sister, Elizabeth Caporta; brothers, James Mahar and Thomas Mahar and her beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Point Memory Care and the Glendale Home for the loving care provided during her stay. In keeping with Claire’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association Northeastern NY, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205, or online at www.alz.org.
