Lonny Lanteigne, age 75 of Schaghticoke passed away on Monday September 1, 2014 after a brief illness. Born on October 27, 1938 in New York City, he was the son of the late Urbain and Irene Lanteigne. Lonny was a former member of the Army National Guard. He was the owner of L&L Blacktop and Sealcoating in Troy for 47 years. He was a heavy equipment operator and did site planning for his blacktop projects. Lonny could envision the success of any project before it began, and was a perfectionist with his work. He was always able to find a practical solution for complex problems. He could always be found working in his garage when not spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Beverly Lanteigne, son James (Joyce) Lanteigne, daughter Kim (Kevin) Hedley, grandchildren Maranda (Courtney) Lanteigne, Alicia (Karl) Watson, Tiffany (Jacob) Fredericks, and Joseph and Alexander Hedley, and great grandchildren Brayden, Maxwell, and Sabastian. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service Thursday at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 50 Leversee Rd, Troy, NY 12182. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church, 50 Leversee Rd, Troy, NY 12182.
