Eileen DeCelle Obituary

Eileen Decelle, age 90, of Ballston Lake passed away on April 19, 2025, peacefully with her family by her side.


Born in 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Carroll. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph DeCelle Sr., her siblings John and William Carroll and Veronica Gilligan, and an infant grandson Nicholas DeCelle.


Eileen was the business manager of St. Mary's Church in Crescent for over 20 years. Following her retirement, she dedicated her time to volunteering, she spent her time at Chango and Shatekon elementary schools and was a eucharistic minister at Samaritan Hospital for 6 years. Eileen was an avid traveler, visiting many countries all over the world.


She is Survived by her daughter Kathleen (Warren) Palmieri, sons, Joseph (Barbara) DeCelle, Jr., and John (Jason) DeCelle, grandchildren Jonathan Palmieri, Jessica (Christopher) LaBarge, Kristen (Jihad Janfor) DeCelle, and Kevin DeCelle. Great grandchildren Julian LaBarge and Zineb Janfor.


Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10am till Noon in St. Mary's Church, Crescent with a funeral Mass following at noon in the Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford.
