Clifton Park, NY – Matthew A. Tenace, Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 while doing what he loved.

Born in Niskayuna, NY in 1976 to Sheila Lanesey and the late Matthew A. Tenace, Sr., Matthew was industrious and driven. Following high school, Matthew used his talents to start his own business, Absolute Comfort Home Improvements, where he was a detailed carpenter, giving his time and skill to help others achieve their dream homes.

While Matt enjoyed his work, he also enjoyed the outdoors. In his free time he was often outside gardening, spending time with his children, cooking, and riding his motorcycle. He had a gift for making people laugh, and his smile was infectious.

Matt is survived by his mother: Sheila Lanesey; his wife: Kate Wilson; his three children: Kayla, Isabelle, and Evelyn; his three stepchildren: Brandon, Madison, and Natalie; three grandchildren; his siblings: Charles Lanesey, Sheilagh Lanesey, Danielle Rafferty, and Greg Wolny; and a niece: Laci Smith.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065, with a memorial service held at 12 Noon.
