Nancy A. Porter, 78, of Halfmoon, NY, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on July 16, 2025. Born August 12, 1946, in Hudson, NY, raised in Kinderhook, NY she lived with her parents along with her older sister. She attended Becker Junior College, receiving her Associate's degree.

Nancy began her professional journey at Flah's department store, then built a long and successful career in phone retail, starting with the Bell Company and staying through its transitions to AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Her work eventually led her to relocate to New Jersey, where she retired early. She later found fulfillment in a second career at Chilton Memorial Hospital's Foundation, where she shined by putting her strengths in communication and planning to good use.

A quintessential "Type A," Nancy was a vibrant planner with boundless energy. She loved walking, practicing yoga, and staying fit, and she often led activity committees in her communities to ensure there was always something lively happening. Her love of travel carried her across the globe—especially through her adventures with the Bounding Waves sailing group, with whom she sailed on both tranquil lakes and vast seas. Among her many adventures, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge was a standout. She also cherished time with her granddaughters, planning outings to New York City, attending ballets and plays, and sharing her love of shopping and fun experiences. Always cheerful and full of positivity, Nancy approached every challenge with grace and a radiant smile.

Nancy is survived by her children Michael Porter and Allyson (Jeffrey) Cimino and her two granddaughters, Lisa and Hailey. She is survived by her partner William (Sandy) Preston III.

Visiting hours will be held at the St. Edwards Catholic Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065 in the Day Chapel in on Friday, July 25, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a funeral mass in the main chapel at 11:00 am.
