Donald Ray Law, age 71 of Halfmoon, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 25, 2025 after a long illness. Though his final year was marked by many challenges, Don's quiet strength, deep love for his family, and unwavering spirit never faded.

Born on July 26, 1953 in Alabama, he was the son of the late Mac and Julia Law. He began a long career with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and moved to New York in early adulthood, where he started his family.

Don had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing, and found great freedom and joy in riding his motorcycle. A devoted Crimson Tide fan, weekends were often reserved for watching Alabama football.

After returning to his home state for several years, Don recently made his way back to New York to be closer to what mattered most to him: his grandchildren. More than anything in life, Don adored his grandchildren. Charlotte, Austin, and Henry were his greatest joy and his deepest source of pride. Don poured his heart into being their "pawpaw". His time with them was not just spent — it was cherished.

Don is survived by his loving daughters, Rebecca (Joseph) Gaither of Waterford, NY, and Amanda (Matthew) Garrity of Clifton Park, NY; his beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Rose Gaither, Austin Thomas Garrity, and Henry Joseph Gaither; his devoted sister, Gayle (Don) Allen; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Mac Morris Law and Julia Letlow, and by his brother, Tommy Morris Law.

Don will be remembered for his loving heart, sense of humor, and steadfast resilience. He was a funny, thoughtful, and deeply caring man who gave the very best of himself to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren. Though he is no longer with them, the love, guidance, and joyful memories he shared will continue to shape their lives for years to come.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065, followed by a brief service at 5:00 honor Don's life.
