Mary Alice Russo, 94, formerly of Mechanicville, NY passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Born in 1931, Mary Alice was the daughter of the late Francis and Marguerite (Cunningham) Sweeney. Following her graduation from high school she was employed by General Electric in Schenectady. She married Dominick Russo, to whom she was married for 66 years until his passing in 2015. Mary Alice is predeceased by her brothers William, James and Francis Sweeney. She is survived by her sister in law Sharon Sweeney.

Mary Alice enjoyed traveling especially her European vacations with her sons and summer vacations on the Jersey Shore. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed painting and crafting. Mary Alice was a proud Grandmother and Gigi. She cherished every moment she spent with her family.

Survivors include her four sons: Michael (Paul Johnson) Russo, Salvadore "Buddy" (Patricia) Russo, Frank (Lori) Russo, and Dominick (Lori) Russo; five grandchildren: Melanie Brooks, Jeremy (Taylor) Russo, Lianne (Adam) Liddell, Kelsey (Victor Montemayor) Russo and Joshua (Susie) Russo and nine great-grandchildren: Tanner, Hudson, Kloe, Mason, Ryan, Elodie, Ewan, Leighton and Layne.

A mass for Mary Alice will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 9:30 am, at All Saints on the Hudson – St. Paul's Church, 121 North Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 followed by a committal service at 11:00 am at GBHS/Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
