Marlene D. Walsh, 79, of Ballston Lake, NY, passed away on October 23, 2025 at her home after her courageous battle with cancer.

Marleen was born in Albany, NY in 1946, a daughter of the later James G. Coleman and Anna M. Bayer. She was also predeceased by her husband of 44 years: Joseph Walsh, Sr., her daughter-in-law: Lisamarie Walsh and her siblings: James Coleman, and Lorraine Soltys.

Following her days in high School, Marlene got a job at Tobin Packing Company, where she met her husband, Joseph. They were married on June 3, 1972, and were together until his passing in 2015.

When Marlene wasn't at work, she loved taking her yearly trip to the ocean in Wildwood, New Jersey. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed the companionship of her beloved dog, Jaxson, whose companionship brought her great comfort until he, too, passed.

Marlene is survived by her children: Laureen (Mike) Wolff, Joseph Walsh Jr., John Walsh, and her step-children: Charles (Christie) Walsh, Sean Walsh, and Joseph (Sarah) Walsh; many grandchildren: Jeffrey (Ashley), Nicholas, Michael, Joseph, Dylan, Alec, Jillian, Jenna, Jason, Mikayla, Serenity, Lisa, Tyler, Gabby, and Angel; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A period of visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route (, Clifton Park, NY 12065. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ballston Spa 167 Milton Ave, Ballston Spa, NY 12020, followed immediately by a burial next to her husband at the Gerald BH Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY
