James C. Towsley, 76, of Clifton Park, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 17, 2025.

James was born in 1949 in Albany, NY, the son of the late James J. and Helen (Radzyminski) Towsley. He was also predeceased by his sister: Carol Swantek, and his brother-in-law: Timothy Smith.

James was a graduate of both the Vincentian Institute and of Siena College, earning his Bachelor's Degree. He followed his education with a long career in publishing, working as a Director of Inside Sales, with his longest tenure being with Matthew Bender. He retired in 2008.

In May of 1973 James married the love of his life, Joyce Bonacquisti, and together they shared 52 years of love and companionship, growing their family and facing everything life had in store as a team.

When James wasn't at work, he enjoyed college football, especially Alabama (Roll Tide!) He liked going to the casino and always had time for a scratch-off. James loved playing board games, especially Monopoly with his grandchildren, but those grandchildren, and his family, were his greatest loves of all.

James leaves behind his loving wife: Joyce Towsley; their three children: Darryll (Lisa) Towsley, Ryan (Noreen) Towsley, and Jennifer (Dawin) Vanderpool; 8 grandchildren: Maggie, James II, Anthony, Joseph, Christian, Christopher, Andrew, and Hudson; his sister: Nancy Smith; his brother-in-law: William Swantek; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Philip and Connie Bonacquisti; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held for James from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Catricala Funeral home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Burial will take place privately, at a later date.
