Elizabeth A. Dilorenzo Obituary

Elizabeth A. DiLorenzo, 100, entered peacefully into eternal rest on January 18, 2026, at Ellis Hospital. Born in Coeymans, NY, on February 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Sante and Matilda (Silvestrini) Giacomini.

Elizabeth, affectionately known as "Liz" or "Jackie," was the Salutatorian and Homecoming Queen of Coeymans High School. She began her career in 1943 at the Scotia Navy Supply Depot, where she met her beloved husband, Charles "Pat" DiLorenzo. They were married on September 19, 1948, and shared 51 years together until his passing in March 2000.

In 1949, they moved to Rexford, NY, to raise their family. Jackie was a woman of immense drive; she was active in local politics, running for Town Clerk in Elnora, and served as a hostess for the family restaurant, The Erie Barge, in Schenectady. For over five decades, she was a dedicated Avon Representative, a career for which she was honored in 2014 for her remarkable success and commitment.

A woman of deep faith, Jackie was a long-time communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Edward the Confessor Church. She was incredibly vibrant, feisty, and possessed a keen intellect. Even at 100, her memory was legendary. She remained active in the Clifton Park Senior Center dance program, enjoyed golf and bowling, and was a dedicated fundraiser for cancer research.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her daughter, Pamela DiLorenzo Stanco. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Joanne) DiLorenzo, Charles (Pam) DiLorenzo, Michael (Vicki) DiLorenzo, and Philip DiLorenzo (Donna Stephens); her closest friends, Diane, Ronnie, and the DeMeo family; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 23, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park Center Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow, with interment at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maria College, 700 New Scotland Avenue, to support scholarships for future nursing students.
