With profound sadness we share the passing of William J. Morris, Jr., February 17,
2026, at Saratoga Hospital.
Bill was born to William, Sr. and Maureen D. Morris in Bridgeport, CT on August 12,
1944. He was 81 years old.
Bill had a long and successful career in the powder coating industry; entering the field
while in its infancy; and spent the next 40 years expanding and growing it across many
industries and applications. Upon retiring from Nordson Corporation, in Cleveland, OH
he began his second career as VP of Operations for Sander's Fire and Safety in
Mechanicville, NY; only recently retiring.
Bill found reward in all that he did. Among his favorite pastimes was his summers at
Saratoga Race Course. He would spend time with his best friend Charlie sitting at his
favorite table on The Porch and watching the horses run.
But above all else he valued his time with his family and his love for them was
immeasurable. He leaves behind to mourn, his devoted wife of nearly 60 years Linda,
his sons Stephen (Maureen), Kevin (Bethany), and Timothy (Pauline); as well as his
adored grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew, Katelyn, Elizabeth, Victoria and Marianna. He
is also survived by his brother Douglas (Kaye), his nephew Jason and several cousins.
Including his parents he is predeceased by his brother John.
A period of visitation to celebrate Bill's life will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bill's doctors, nurses and staff at
Saratoga Hospital for their care and compassion. You will always remain in our hearts.
Donations may be made to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation, 211 Church Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
