Barbara A. Lurz Obituary

Barbara A. Lurz, 87, of Clifton Park, New York passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026

at her home with her family by her side.


Born in Dayton, Ohio in 1938, Barbara was the daughter of the late Eugene and

Anastasia (Uinski) Zinkiewicz. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by

her brothers, John and Daniel Zinkiewicz.


Barbara attended Patterson High School, and graduated with the class of 1956. After

school she moved to New York and joined the work force, working as a store manager

for Joy's, and also Denby's Department Store. She finished her career as an office

manager for Clifton Park Pediatrics, having worked into her 70's.


When she wasn't at work, Barbara liked going bowling and watching tennis and golf on

the TV. She enjoyed trips to the racino, and a scratch-off every now and then. She was

fond of cruises and enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod.


Barbara leaves behind her three children: Mark (Ann) Lurz, Kimberly (Thomas) Boes,

and Rebecca Lurz; her six grandchildren: Karl Lurz, Meaghan Flannigan, Anthony

Zalucky, Kieran Boes, Jemiah Boes, and Brennan Belding; five great-grandchildren:

Everleigh, Kennedy, Dillion, Hero, and Noah; and two brothers: Eugene (Rose)

Zinkeiwicz and Frances Zinkiewicz.


The family would like to acknowledge the gentle care provided by the home health team

in the final days of her life.


A period of visitation will be held for Barbara from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, May

15, 2026 at Catricala Funeral Home, with a funeral service taking place at 5:30 pm.
