Shirley M. Pingelski Obituary
Shirley M. Pregent Pingelski, passed away on June 18, 2026 at her daughter's home with her family by her side.
Shirley was born March 25, 1938 in Stillwater to the late Mildred (Towsend) and Raymond Pregent, Sr. She was a lifelong area resident, a proud graduate of Shenendehowa class of 1956. She was active locally in both Boy and Girl Scouts, Mohawk Drum & Bugle Corp., Home Bureau, Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library volunteer and Friends group. She was secretary for the Credit Management Association of ENY for 10 years, and very active in the Empire State Volkssporters Association and Travelwalk where she earned AVA award for completing a walk in all of America's 50 states.
Shirley was employed by LaValley McLeod Plumbing & Heating, Shenendehowa Central School Guidance Dept. and was Executive Secretary for 23 years at K. C. Canary – Clifton Park, Inc.
Shirley adored watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their sports and musical programs, gardening, walking, crocheting, traveling, working and spending time with her beloved family and specially-loved friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Stephen M. Pingelski, Jr., her sister, Barbara French, brothers, Raymond Pregent and Thomas Pregent. Shirley is survived by her sons, Steven (Jude), Stanley (Sheila), daughter, Sherry Ringwood (Scott) along with five grandchildren, Ian (Allyson), Lauren Murphy (Kevin), Regan (Danielle), Michael (Jamie), and Hannah Pingelski and seven great-grandchildren, and her adored sister, Marilyn (Art, deceased) Adsit of Clifton Park; Godson Eric Adsit, Goddaughter Bonnie Roes, and numerous wonderful in-laws, nieces and nephews, along with so many cherished, caring friends.
A period of visitation will be held for Shirley from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held the next morning, Monday, June 29, 2026 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, followed by a burial at Memory's Garden Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
