Michele A. Fetsko, 74, of Clifton Park, New York, passed away on July 8, 2026 at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in 1951 in Schenectady, New York, Michele was the eldest daughter of William R. and Margy A (Heckeler) Yando. After graduating from Shenendehowa High School in 1969, Michele earned her degree from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Albany, New York. She then went to work for St. Peter's Hospital as a RN, spending her entire 38 years as a pediatric nurse. On July 19, 1974 she married Geary Fetsko, and they settled down in Clifton Park to start their family. When Michele wasn't at work, she enjoyed reading, camping and traveling with her husband in their motor home. She loved her numerous trips to Disney World with her own children and later with her sisters and brother-in-law. For nearly 17 years, she was accompanied by her devoted dog, Oscar. She enjoyed time at the family's Adirondack home on Peck Lake. Children were deeply important to her, both professionally and at home, and she cherished her roles as a wife, a mother to her two children, and especially as a grandmother to her granddaughter, Madison. Michele leaves behind her loving husband of over 50 years: Geary Fetsko; her two children: Jennifer (Eric Guenther) Fetsko, and Andrew (Drea) Fetsko; her granddaughter: Madison Fetsko; her four sisters: Julie (Jim) Kennedy, Annette Lewis, Yvonne Yando, and Carolle Yando; and her in-laws: John (Gail) Fetsko, Jr., as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A period of visitation will be held for Michele from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065, followed by a funeral service at Noon. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford, NY. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Albany Medical Center who contributed to Michele's care in her final days.
