PeggyLou Zakrzewski, 74, of Halfmoon, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Peggy was born in 1951 in Catskill, New York, a daughter of the late William A. Conarpe and Birdie Dixie Ford. In addition to her parents, PeggyLou was also predeceased by her husband John; her siblings: James Conarpe, John Conarpe, Mabel Street, Patrick Conarpe, and Marvin "Dougie" Denniston; and a brother-in-law: Roger Lane.

She graduated from Coxackie high School, and following school went to work for CSEA, becoming a Union Representative. She married John Zakrzewski, and they enjoyed each other's company until his passing in 2024.

PeggyLou enjoyed spending her time with John, and especially loved going on casino trips with him. In her quiet times, she enjoyed embroidery and sewing.

PeggyLou leaves behind her son: Jeff (Jeanette) Foley; her siblings: Betty (Roy) Zimmerman, Mary (Bill) Shaw, and LouElla Lane; a brother-in-law: James Street; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065, with a graveside committal following the visitation at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Veteran's Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY
