Constance M Monroe Obituary

Clifton Park, NY. Constance M. Monroe, age 83 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday February 27, 2024, at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Irene and Mary (Provost) LaFond. Connie was predeceased by one brother Sonny LaFond and one sister Irene Markle.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years James Monroe Sr. and her two sons James and Donna Monroe Jr. and Jeffrey and Amy Monroe. She is also survived by one sister Betty Prian along with three Grandchildren, Kellie Brandt, James Monroe III and Jenna Gifford. Two Great grandchildren, Emily Monroe and Miles Gifford survive as well along with many nieces and nephews.

Connie loved going to the Casino and playing slots with her husband. She loved going to Albany-Saratoga racetrack to watch her sons and grandson race street stock cars. Connie loved entertaining family and friends in her home. She especially enjoyed sitting by her pool watching her grandchildren learn how to swim. She will be missed.

Calling hours are at the Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park on Friday March 8, 2024, from 10-12pm a Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 12pm. Entombment to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Donations may be made in her name to Saratoga County Animal Shelter. 6010 County Farm Rd, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
