Peter Neville age 89 passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, after a long and full life at Schyler Ridge Nursing facility in Clifton Park.

He was born on January 16, 1935, to George and Marie Neville. He was the identical twin of George Scott and brother of David. Peter grew up in Albany and graduated from Milne Academy.

He met his wife Ellen Lyons Neville in 1950 as a student at Milne while she was a student at Girl's Academy, they were wed in 1956.

Peter had a long career working for Picker X-ray spanning 35 years. He repaired and installed X-ray equipment in most of all the hospitals between Hudson and Ticonderoga, New York.

He helped the family begin and was the CEO of the family business, 3N Document Destruction Inc. back in 1994.

He was an athlete his whole life. Playing basketball into his 50's, and he picked up golf in his 40's. Peter could fix anything from washing machines, TVs, cars, shredders and any other piece of machinery he touched. However, he was never happier than when he was with the love of his life, Ellie. He loved being with his family whether working at 3N or attending a family get together. Before Peter passed, he got to meet his great grandson, Bennett. He would visit with his family on Sundays and ask, "I wonder what he is thinking?".

Peter was a man of character and impressed upon his boys that it is important to do things right the first time and always do your best. A philosophy that has been a cornerstone of 3N Document Destruction the family business.

Peter is survived by his two sons David (Jeri) Neville of Halfmoon, Robert (Lorraine) Neville of Ballston Lake, his four grandchildren Shannon Nicole (David Tesar) of Ballston Lake, Addison Scott of Austin, Texas, Meaghan Marie (Chris Stocker) of Wilmington, Virginia, and Eden Ellen (Alex Koste) of Los Angeles, California.

The family would like to thank and recognize the outstanding care our Dad received while staying at Schyler Ridge. The staff were so kind and patient with Dad and we know his care was world class.

The family is holding a private memorial service. We will be having a celebration of Peter's full and wonderful life in the future. Instead of sending flowers please consider a donation to The Community Hospice at communityhospice.org
