Mechanicville – Mary A. Acosta, 95, passed away on December 1, 2024, surrounded by her children.


Mary was born in 1929 in Pelileo, Ecuador, a daughter of the late Victor Rodriguez and Maria Mejia. She is also predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Carlos Acosta.


Mary worked in her home, caring for her family, and also worked as a seamstress.


Mary is survived by her step-son: Napoleon Acosta; her sons: Galo (Susan) Acosta, George Acosta, Thomas (Diane) Acosta, and Michael Acosta; her daughters: Martha Acosta, Jeanette (Ramon) Martinez, Ruth Eisenhauer, Mary (Radeew) Mohabeer, and Ximena (Luis) Molina; as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


A period of visitation will take place from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband in her home city of Ambato, Ecuador.


Donations in memory of Mary may be made to alz.org, to aid in the fight against dementia.


Mom was a strong matriarch who left a remarkable legacy in each one of her children. May she rest in peace.
