We were heartsick to hear of Kathy's passing. Kathy was a wonderful and loving Mom and a wonderful and full-of-fun Grammy. She was also a terrific mother-in-law (aka Big Sis) to our daughter, Kate. Kathy's beautiful obituary really paints a picture of her. She was a life force! Kathy was kind, caring, smart, talented and FUNNY! We will always remember her. She will be greatly missed.
With our love and deepest sympathy,
Tom and Joan McShane

I met Kathy thru our daughters, Terri and Kelly Agansky Cooper. She always had that beautiful smile. The girls played softball together and she was always at the fields cheering her kids on. One of the nicest ladies I ever met. God bless her and her family. Kathy Agansky

Kathy became my big sister when she married my big brother, Chuck. My favorite memories of her include her wit and sense of humor, her cool new green Mercury Cougar, the piano lessons she gave me, her chocolate rum balls (right, Tom?), her reaction to the noise-making fire helmet I gave to Joey for Christmas - twice!, the boat ride on Sacandaga Lake on Labor Day '21, her visit to our house in AZ with Terri in Nov '22, and the many visits to see her and Chuck at their apartments and homes while I was growing up - Randy Gardens in Niskayuna, downtown Albany, State St in Schenectady, the North Hills of Pittsburgh, S. Windsor CT, and Clifton Park.
AZ Kathy and I were surprised and saddened by her sudden death but glad to hear she passed while tending to her flowers on the patio in sunny San Diego.
Our sympathy goes out to Mary Beth, Terri, Joe & Kate, Laura & Justin, all her grandchildren, and our extended Chera Family.
Eternal rest grant unto Mary Kathleen, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May Kathy's soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Joe Chera
