Arthur J. Lussier, age 77 of Halfmoon, passed away after a short illness on April 1, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born in 1937 in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Alfred and Marie Lussier. He was also predeceased by his sister and brothers, Bernadette, Victor and Francis Lussier.
He worked his whole life as a finish carpenter, starting out with Van Patten Homes in Clifton Park for over 25 years. He was then self-employed until his retirement. He listened to country music and was always whistling while he worked.
He was the greatest fan of the Lussier’s Racing team, cheering on his grandsons Nick and Elliott, and his nephew, Nathan, in the pits at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway. He was working on rebuilding the family’s Port Henry camp on Lake Champlain. He made the best bread, always starting from scratch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Genevieve J. Lussier, son, William A. (Carmella) Lussier, daughters, Bonnie S. (Christopher) Hatter and Anita Williams, mother in law, Jennie Dahoda, grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin and Elliott Lussier, Rebecca (Daniel Roninson) Hatter, Christopher Hatter II, Blake and Melanie Williams, great grandchildren, Regan Whiteside, Griffin and Winter Williams. He is also survived by his brothers, Leonard (Winnona) Lussier and Joseph (Jeanette) Lussier and several nieces and nephews.
