Obituary of Florence Link
Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clifton Park – Florence A. Link, 78, of Clifton Park, New York, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the Wesley Nursing Home in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Florence was born in 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Daniel and Florence (Stark) Unverzagt.
Following her graduation from catholic high school, Florence earned her Associate's Degree from Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, NY. On November 8, 1969, she married the love of her life, James Link.
Together they started their family, and Florence took over the management of their home. Florence and Jim loved dates nights that included Dinner of the month with close friends, Dances at the country club and attending concerts - Peter, Paul & Mary was a favorite.
Florence enjoyed so many things in life. As a young girl she loved roller skating and playing hopscotch with friends, basketball with her brother and penny poker with her Dad. She treasured Carousel rides at Hoffmans playland with her girls and then her grandkids and valued the annual family trip to Lake George. Florence loved playing scrabble and shopping at Macy's. She looked forward to taking long drives with her husband and stopping for lunch at Lakeside.
But most of all her greatest love was her family. She spent quality time with her parents and participated in every aspect of her husband and daughters' lives. She enjoyed being a class room mother, driving carpool to endless swim practices and spending summers at Zena Rec. She always answered the phone when you called and knew exactly where her children were, even as adults. Her moto in life was 'Anytime, Anyplace'. She was kind, loving and had a pure heart of Gold.
Florence is survived by her husband of 55 years: James Link; her three daughters: Jennifer (Jason) Boutin, Stacia Link, and Florence (Matthew) Tilton; her six grandchildren: Megan, Trevor and Forrest Boutin, Matthew and James Reveal, and Florence Aly Tilton; and her brother: Daniel Unverzagt.
Services for Florence will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
