Obituary of Robert Mark Lewis Sr.

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clifton Park – Robert M. Lewis, Sr, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital following a long illness. Robert was born in 1954 in Syracuse, New York, a son of Donald L. and Phyllis T. (Hoysak) Lewis. He was predeceased by his wife of many years, Elizabeth J. Lewis, and two of his brothers, John and Richard Lewis. After graduating from high school, Robert worked for several years as a medical courier, carrying blood samples for local prisons. He met and married Elizabeth Jean O'Connor and together they began a new life in Clifton Park where they raised their family and operated Clifton Park Seamless Gutters, a business Robert proudly ran for over 30 years. When Robert was not at work, he was typically enjoying the world around him. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. He spent a lot of time up on Lake George, and his boys have many fond memories of being outdoors with Dad. Whether it was camping, being on the boat, or just enjoying the air, Robert was at home in the world, but all of that paled in comparison to the love he had for his family. Robert is survived by his two sons: Robert M. (Megan) Lewis, Jr., and Shane P. (Charlene) Lewis; his three grandchildren: Landon, Teagan, and Gianni, a brother: James Lewis; and a sister: Linda Lewis Carlstrom. Services for Robert will be held privately at his request. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Robert's memory to either St. Jude Children's Hospital online at stjude.org, or to the American Lung Association online at action.lung.org.
