Obituary of Sandra Angela McPherson

Sandra Angela McPherson departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was born on May 9, 1961 in Kingston, Jamaica to Martin Luther McPherson and the late Vively Hogg-Clark. Sandra attended Boundbrook Infant School, Norwich Elementary School, and Port Antonio Secondary School in Portland, Jamaica where she lived with her grandparents, the late Frances Rebecca McPherson and Benjamin Augustus McPherson (Mas Ben). Sandra studied cosmetology at The Leon School of Beauty Culture in Kingston, Jamaica and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. Sandra worked professionally as a hairstylist and beauty consultant at JC Penney in Clifton Park, where she was awarded top stylist several times during her long tenure with the organization. She also worked at “Hair 2000” and “A Pure Day Spa” both located in Clifton Park. She leaves to cherish her memory her father Martin; her brothers Andrew, Gregory (Tony), Phillip (Steve), Alton and Ansel; nieces Geneva, Andreen, Adjana, Tashnalee, Shawnalee and Alexandria; nephews Altonlee, Tajlee, Addison, Lamar and Carday; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and long-time friends. Sandra will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 24 from 2 to 3:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park.
