Phyllis E. Decker, age 91 of Halfmoon passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga. Born on March 14, 1924 in Auburn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Madeline Parker. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Delessio.

Phyllis worked at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany for many years. Phyllis enjoyed skiing, swimming, traveling, and playing tennis.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband Edward Decker Sr., son Edward J. (Gail) Decker Jr., and daughters Linda Jacobs, and Janet (Donald) Beigler. She is also survived by her grandchildren Darlene, David, Raymond, Debbie, Edward III, Alan, Sheir, Donald Jr., Laura, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses, the CNA’s and hospice of the Wesley Health Care Center for all of the excellent care and compassion they provided for Phyllis.
