Mama: Today, December 23, 2019, has been especially hard for me. I am missing you badly, forced to spend another Christmas without you. I know you are safe in the arms of Jesus, just where you have always wanted to be. But, the reality for me is that you are not here, though God has sent me many signs that you are ok, just like you used to tell me you would be. Truthfully, Mama, my life has not been the same since you left. You left a void no one can fill, and I must deal with that every day. But, one thing is for sure: God has answered your prayers for me every single day, even when I am not attentive to see it. So, Thank you, Mama, for everything. I know you had to go. And, I know eventually this sadness will leave me. There has not been a single day that I have not thought of, and spoken to, you. I love you Mama, and I always will. I will never forget you. Thank you for everything. I just wish I had been more patient with you, and a better daughter to you. But, I know you have forgiven me for my shortcomings, because you told me so before you left. I so look forward to seeing you again one day. Love you, Mama. Love you dearly!!

Dear Moodie Family: It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love no matter how young or old they happen to be. We are reminded in the Bible that God sees our pain and sorrow and has promised that soon death will be done away with....swallowed up forever.(Isaiah 25:8) He will mend our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again.(Acts 24:15) I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on the life of Lurline, and the wonderful memories left behind, that you will also find comfort in God's promises to us for the near future.
