We are so very sorry for your loss. Carla was a very dear friend to my family and I. I first met Carla at Albany Medical Center when she was orienting in the NICU. Our children were close in age and we grew to be close as we both did activities together with our children such as play dates, birthday parties, swimming lessons, playing in the park and also trading child care.
After our children grew up Carla and I remained very close friends. Carla had the biggest heart and she could never say no to anyone that asked her for help. Her and I ran a girl scout troop together and she always had the best ideas for crafts and activities. Carla and I would chat on the phone and if time had gone by we would catch up on each other'a life.
Carla's children meant the world to her. In the past few years Carla would work the night shift as to be there for her children and when Jeff became ill she never missed a doctor visit or a trip to the city for care.
Carla was never judgemental and was always ready to lend a hand and offer help to me. She recently offered to sit with my dad as well as give my husband a ride to the airport at 4 a.m
I am going to miss Carla so very much. She has been part of my life for over 25 years. She was a very dear friend to me and my family.

So sorry for your loss. Carla worked for me at Maria College. She was a valued member of the faculty. She always shared her knowledge and had a deep commitment to helping the students to grow in the nursing profession. The students valued her knowledge and professionalism greatly.
I know that she will be deeply missed. I just find it so hard to believe. In May Itwrote a reference for her for the Master's program in Bioethics. Please accepted my deepest sympathy. It was a honor to work with her
