Michele K. Reed, age 49 of Kenmore, NY passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was born on March 17, 1966 in Saratoga, the daughter of Doris Reed and the late Timothy R. Reed. Michele graduated early from Shenendehowa High School in 1983 after advancing through several grades. She competed as a Varsity Gymnast and was also on the diving and swimming summer travel teams. Michele received her Bachelors of Science, in Mathematics from Cortland University in upstate NY. She was also a member of Cortland University’s Dance Team. Michele continued her excellence in education by earning a Masters of Science, Instructional Leadership, Magnum Cum Laude, from National University in San Diego, California. She was an active communicant of multiple local churches. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son Nicholas Grossi, sisters Suzanne M. and Lisa A. Reed, and brother Keith T (Sheryl) Reed. She is also survived by her aunt Joyce Caruso, nephews Seth, Taylor, Ryan and Timothy, and many cousins in the Gorsline, Northrop, Caruso, Colvin, Daly, and Cunningham families. This includes her companion Larry Gehle. A memorial service will be held on Friday October 16 at 9 a.m. at the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Crescent Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nicholas Grossi Education Fund, 1st National Bank Bestgate Office, 1000 Bestgate Rd. Suite 100, Annapolis, MD 21410.
