Clifford Francis Kleiner, age 87 of Clifton Park passed away on October 20, 2015. Clifford was born in Adams, MA to Arthur and Glorina Kleiner. He was predeceased by his 1st wife Marilyn T. McDonald, 2nd wife Elizabeth “Betty” Harrington Kleiner and brother Arthur Kleiner. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1946 and served two tours of duty in the Army in Japan and Korea. After discharge he completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Siena College. In 1956, Clifford married Marilyn T. McDonald of Cohoes and they resided in Troy with their six children until Marilyn‘s death. For more than 35 years Clifford worked as a labor relations representative at Ford Motor Company in Green Island, spending his days working with personnel and overseeing union negotiations. Clifford and his wife Betty resided in Clifton Park for 35 years and were active members of St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. Their lives were filled with many happy occasions with their children and grandchildren. Clifford and Betty enjoyed many trips abroad with friends and family. Favorite destinations included sightseeing tours of Spain and Turkey. Clifford also volunteered as a driver for the Captain Food Pantry. Clifford is survived by his children Barbara Harrington (Don Rea),Tom Kleiner, Paul Kleiner, Ellen Ross (Terry), Daniel Kleiner (Deb), Susan Harrington Degen (Douglas), Margaret Perreault (Jason), Jennifer Cohen (Aaron), his identical twin brother, Gilbert, grandchildren Kira, Kylee, Korey, Kellsie, Rachel, Danielle, Matthew, Emily, Megan, Hannah, Nicole, Timothy, Mark, Brian, Scott, Emma, and Eli and great-grandson Jacob. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. The family will be receiving guests on Friday starting at 9:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
