Grace C. Lynch, age 86 of Albany passed away on Thursday November 12, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. She was born on April 25, 1929 in Albany, the daughter of the late Leander and Catherine Bartlett. She was predeceased by her husband Det. Sgt. George M. Lynch Sr., son Kevin M. Lynch, and sister Rosemary Kindlon-Rowe.

Grace retired as a clerk for Albany County. She also worked part time as a crossing guard for the Albany Police. She was active in the Albany Senior Citizens, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed crafting ceramics, and loved playing bingo with her friends at the nursing home.

She is survived by her daughters Claire Lynch, Kathy (Mike) Hosking, sons George (Josie) Lynch Jr., Christopher (Charlene) Lynch, her sister Elizabeth Jane Stammel, and grandchildren Patricia (Mike), Wendy (Bob) Nancy (Frank) Leanne (Al), Kevin (Melanie), James (Pao), William (Holly), Ryan, Matthew (Jennifer), Kristen (Jason), Gabriella (Will), Kyle, Ashley, Meagan, and Thomas. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Mick, Joe, Becca, Maria, Paul, Silvio, Nina, Michael, Adrien, Stella, Carter, Iliza, Giancarlo, Theo, Jack, Vincent, and Garrett.

The family would like to thank Mary Ann Palumbo and Richard “Larry” Yerry for all of their friendship and excellent care.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home, 2 Mercy Care Lane, Guilderland, NY 12084. There will be a committal service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the mausoleum of St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
