Obituary of Dorothy E. Stafford

Dorothy Elaine (Batty) Stafford, age 82 of Ballston Lake passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was born on December 16, 1932 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Archibald and Mary Batty. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Batty. Dorothy graduated from Scotia High School in 1950. She worked as a secretary for General Electric in both Schenectady and New York City, and later worked as a secretary for St. Paul’s-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church in Ossining, NY, the Shenendehowa school system, and St. George’s Episcopal Church in Clifton Park. She is survived by her husband of 63 years; James Stafford, son Scott Stafford, daughters Sharon Stafford and Nancy Stafford Brandt, and grandchildren Megan, Dylan, Ryan, Devon, and Conor. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 18th at 3 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 912 Route 146 in Clifton Park, with a reception following at the church.
