Jack Fitzpatrick posted a condolence

I had the privilege of being of student of Mr. Pitnell in the early 60's.
He had a gift of maintaining discipline with very energetic teen-aged boys via good humor and personal engagement with them.
He was a terrific teacher and person; I admired greatly.
I am very, very happy that he had a long, happy life.

Michael, my sympathy to you, our mother and family. I never realize that ou father was a volunteer at St. John's-St. Ann's Outreach Center. I worked at that parish right before I came to work at Trustco. It is evident that your touched many people with his care and concern. I always valued my contacts with you when I worked at the bank and I was grateful that you were able to celebrate my 50th jubilee as a sister with me at our Provincial House. May all of you continue to show your love and gratitude to your father by continuing , as he did, to make a difference in the lives of those ou encounter.

He was a good teacher and obviously you have many of his good traits. I enjoyed my interactions with you during my years at the bank and am particularly frateful that you were able to celebrate my 50th jubilee with me at our Provincial House. Joe, Mick, Mary and Mrs. Pitnell,
My condolences on the passing of Mr. Pitnell. I have fond memories of time spent at your home on Hunting Road - basketball, wiffleball and football games in the backyard (including Mick and I holding our own against Joe and Ace Anderson despite being younger and smaller, lol), street football and steet hockey, game nights playing Rack-O, Stratego, Crossfire, Monopoly, Lets Make a Deal, and occasionally even hanging out with kids my own age- Mary, Leslie Hyndman, Leah Anderson, Donna Crawmer, Mike Rafferty, and Brian Long. I hope you are all well and please know our little neighborhood of which your dad was an important part played a critical part in my childhood and for that I am forever grateful to him and Mrs. Pitnell.

Lou was a fine gentleman, a man of commitment and faith, a loving husband, Dad, and Grandfather! I always took great joy and laughter the many times I saw him....he knew how to bring laughter to a conversation. I know you will all miss his presence and love!!
He now rests in the peace of the Lord he so loved and served in so many ways...and he will rise in the glory of the Lord on the Day of Resurrection.
