Edward R. Nalwasky, age 89 of Ballston Lake passed away at home on Sunday February 7, 2016 with his daughter Ruthann by his side. Born on September 7, 1926 in Staten Island, he was the son of the late John and Anna Nalwasky. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey R. Nalwasky. Ed served in the US Army in the Philippines during WWII. He worked for Procter & Gamble in Staten Island as an instrument mechanic for 47 years, retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Clifton Park, and was a member of the VFW in Halfmoon. He was active in the local AARP. He is survived by his daughters Sherrie (Douglas) White, and Ruthann (Timothy) Snyder, grandchildren Collin White and Kenneth Sparry, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW in Halfmoon, 1605A Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
