Obituary of Vincent de Paul Kugler

Vincent de Paul Kugler, age 84 of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2016. He was born in Albany, the son of the late John Sr. and Amelia Kugler. He was predeceased by his son Timothy Kugler, siblings John Jr., Mildred, Kathryn, and Sr. Marie. After his honorable discharge from the US Army, Vince graduated from Siena College with a B.S. Degree and went on to receive his Masters of Science Degree from RPI in Troy. Vince spent the majority of his career dedicated to the SUNY Higher Education System, starting as a Manager of Administrative Systems at UAlbany, where he also taught. In 1968, he moved to the SUNY Construction Fund where he applied his computer and management skills as Methods and Procedures Coordinator. From there, he worked at SUNY Administration, and retired as the Administrator of University-wide Computer Contracts, Licenses, and Agreements. He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Marjorie Kugler, daughters Lynn (Kirk) Humphreys, and Susan Herrmann, son Erik (Debbie) Kugler, sister Joan (John) Dwyer, grandchildren Andrew, Adam, and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by sister-in-law Jean (Robert) Fanniff, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral mass on Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 86 Church Hill Rd. in Crescent. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, 86 Church Hill Rd., Waterford, NY 12188.
