Obituary of Anna Mantello

Anna Mantello, “Aunt Anna” age 92 of Saratoga Springs passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Wesley Health Care Center. She was born on February 4, 1924 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Nobile Serao. She was predeceased by her husband Dominick Mantello, 9 brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Anna lived in Troy for most of her life. She was very active in both the Italian American Community Center and Crab Club in Troy She is survived by her niece, Nobile (Ken) Ring, nephew Anthony D. (Ruth) Necco, brother Pasquale Serao, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass on Monday at 9 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Wesley Health Care Center Foundation, 156 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
