Obituary of Richard H. Cogswell

Richard H. Cogswell, age 64 of Clifton Park passed away at home on Monday April 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family, after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 25, 1951 in Kingston, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and June Cogswell. Richard was a 1973 graduate of Siena College, where he majored in accounting and played on the baseball team. He enjoyed a 33 year career with NYS, working with the Facilities Development Corporation (FDC), and the Dormitory Authority State of NY (DASNY). He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and travelling to watch his son’s baseball career. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Carol Baker Cogswell, his son, Branden Cogswell, mother-in-law Barbara Baker, sister-in-law Lynda Beattie, and brother-in-law Ed Baker. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of their friends and family who gave their support and generosity throughout this journey over the past two years. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service at 6 p.m.
