Freda (Fellows) Werner, age 95 of Halfmoon passed away at home on Wednesday June 22, 2016. She was born on December 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Marvin and Nora Fellows. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Werner, son-in-law Richard Roerig, and six siblings. Freda worked at Ford Mfg. in Waterford, Cluetts shirt factory in Troy, and retired as a file clerk for the NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance in 1982. She was a charter member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her children Marian (Richard) Cassidy, James (Judith Salfi) Werner, Shelda Roerig, and Janice Summa. She is also survived by her grandchildren Don, Rick, Jeff, Teresa, Michelle, Michael, Dan, Rich, Carla, and Jenny; thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Clifton Park Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Saratoga County, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
