Obituary of Maryann T. Adamson

Maryann T. Adamson, age 80 of Ballston Lake passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Urban) Topor. She was predeceased by her son, John William Adamson, and his wife Renee Johnson Adamson, and her son-in-law, Daniel J. Feeney. Maryann was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA and received her Master’s in French from Laval University in Quebec City. She worked as a French teacher at Mechanicville High School. She is survived by her husband, William H., daughter Mary-Frances, son Paul and his wife Pati, sister Sr. Joan Topor, C.P., grandchildren Sean, Sara, Kerina, and Lily, and numerous cousins. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9 in Round Lake, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield, MA on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of her son, John W. Adamson to the Center for Sarcoma at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St. Boston, MA 02115.
