I just knew of Leo's passing yesterday while visiting a mutual friend.
He was a wonderful person. In later years he would attend our open house at Columbia Tractor in Claverack NY. He always enjoyed talking with the farmers & the pancakes we served. What a guy was Leo!! R.I.P LEO

Powers family,
My deepest condolences to all of you. LJ was a great, proud man and a proud veteran. He lived a long and prosperous life and left a legacy of many future generations.
He is now at peace with Gilda.

Leo came to my office for his income tax preparation for many years. He was a favorite client of our office, bringing a smile to our faces during the difficult time of tax season. I loved Leo and looked forward to chit chatting with him when he came in to our office. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. He will be missed!

I worked with Leo for four years in Cinncinatti, Ohio. Working with Leo I was able to establish a
good work ethic, foundation of the finance and credit business, relationships with the
truck sales management and dealers. After work he would call me in his office and ask how my day went. He also wanted me to tell him a bear story. Along with that he would ask about my family. He had a great influence in my success in business.
I left IHCC in 1979. Since then Leo has kept in touch with Christmas cards, a visit to us in
Oregon, telephone and updates on individuals we had worked with through our careers.
I have a great respect for Leo. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We lived there for 27 years and he was the most wonderful next-door neighbor anyone could ever have. We shared stories and tips on everything from washing machines to tree pruning. We enjoyed the sight of him and your mother raking leaves and doing other work in their yard even in their later lives. He would blow the snow from our steep driveway during the day so it was clear when we arrived home from work. He always seemed so much younger than he was in both mind and body. He was always so very gracious and thoughtful. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Uncle Leo was such an inspiration to me ... he had the best advice/guidance! I always enjoyed his stories - such a successful & brilliant man!
I am so happy I was able to speak with him about a month ago. He was such a strong/confident person. He reminded me so much of my grandfather (Edward Powers).
