Obituary of Gloria d'Emarese

Gloria d’Emarese, age 91 of Malta passed away on Thursday April 24, 2014 at the Mary’s Haven home in Saratoga. She was born on August 1, 1922 in Astoria, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Frank d’Emarese, daughters Louise Dragos and Ellen Loria, and grandson A.J. Mazzilli. Gloria worked as a riveter during WWII. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but worked as a seamstress at a bridal shop in Queens for a brief time. She is survived by her daughter Marian (David) Adams, grandchildren Tara (Gregory) Carson, Michael (Marina), Kristin (Mike), Jacqueline, and David, and 5 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Mary’s Haven, 35 New St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
