Obituary of Edward J. Guilbeault

Edward J. Guilbeault, age 63 of Halfmoon passed away on Monday April 28, 2014 at Albany Medical Center. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Troy, and was raised by his grandparents. He worked for Adirondack Steel for 20 years before retiring from Highland Tank, where he had a willingness to help others no matter the task, whether it was maintenance, welding, or driving the truck. Ed served as an usher at Temple Baptist Church in Halfmoon, where he and his wife Mary Lou were Sunday School teachers. Ed and wife fostered many children throughout the years. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Lou Guilbeault, daughter Patricia Fagan, sons Nicholas Guilbeault, and Josh McDonald, several siblings, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. at the Temple Baptist Church, 142 Lower Newtown Rd. in Halfmoon, with a prayer at the church Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.
