Pauline “Polly” Henry, Age 90 of Clifton Park passed away on Friday July 28, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital. Polly was born in Albany. She lived in Albany for 20 years before moving to Loudonville where she built a home and raised two daughters with her husband, the late Robert A. Henry. They lived there for 22 years before moving to Clifton Park.
She is a 1945 graduate of Albany High School, and a graduate of Albany Business College. For 40 years she was employed by the New York State Health Department, retiring in 1989.
Her survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Doug) Jones and Stephanie Seguin and three grandsons, Peter Brooks, Craig and Chad Seguin and three great grandchildren Kaileigh, Emily, and Jackson Seguin, along with many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed traveling to boat races throughout the country for many years with her husband who was an APBA national champion outboard boat racer and she served as a Republican Committee person for the town of Clifton Park from 1973 to 1998. She also worked as an election inspector for 25 years. Polly was a Lady Shriner and was a member of Marvia Court #27 and a past member of the Order of the Amaranth.
She will be remembered for her wit, intelligence, cheerfulness and the friendship and camaraderie she brought to so many lives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daoui and Dr. Hogan-Moulton, and extend a special thank you to the staff at the Clifton Park Rubin Dialysis Center for the outstanding care they provided Polly. She loved each and every one of them, from the well of her soul.
Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7pm with a service to follow at 7pm at the Catricala Funeral Home in Clifton Park, and the Interment will be Tuesday morning at 10:30am at Albany Rural Cemetery.
