Obituary of Katherine L. Arnold

Katherine L. Arnold, age 79 of Mechanicville passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Leone and Mary Fiacco. She was predeceased by her grandson Mark Masterson, Jr., sister Dolores Knapp and her brothers Leo and Anthony Fiacco.

A lifelong resident of Mechanicville, Katherine was a 1955 graduate of Mechanicville High School. Prior to the birth of her first child, she worked for the NYS Dept. of Commerce for 9 years. She returned to the workforce after her children were grown, and spent 29 years with the Accounts Dept. for the City of Mechanicville, retiring in 2007. She was a communicant of the Assumption-St. Paul Parish and was a former member of the Rosary Society. She was a friend to all and was always there to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her beloved children, Michael (Patti Roberts) Arnold, Sheila (Michael Frosell) Folsmbee, David (Terri) Arnold, and Jennifer (Michael) Matrazzo, sisters Ann Parker, and Carm (Ken) Wood, sister-in-law Alice Fiacco, and brother-in-law James Knapp, and her grandchildren Nicholas Arnold, Amber Masterson, and Amanda Masterson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat Buddy.

The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU/CCU at Samaritan Hospital for all of their compassionate care.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
