After I read about Nicky's recent death after just 36 way too short years of precious life, I wanted to express my feelings of sympathy for Tony and the Mirtschev family and friends. I know Nicky has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. I am truly sorry for the loss
Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18

I can't believe she passed. So very upset to hear this. Krysti was one of ours and our daughter Kimberly's favorite pca's @ Albany Medical Center. She could always make our daughter smile and laugh. She truly had a heart of gold. You will be missed Krysti.

I have never been good at putting my feelings into words. With that said, I just wanted to say how unbelievably said I've been since I heard of Krysti's passing. I am so grateful to her for helping my daughter Alana in her early days at Albany Med, and for her and Tony for opening up their home to her. Rest In Peace dear girl, and always know that you have a place in our hearts.

I knew Nikki when she was battling cancer. After getting through her personal battle with cancer successfully, she dedicated her life to helping others with cancer as seen in her dedication to Albany Med and mentoring medical students.
Her time with us was way too short, but she definitely earned her "wings" with her service to others. She willl be grately missed by friends, family, and all who knew and loved her. Steve, myself and family are very sorry that we cannot be there for her Celebration of Life on Wednesday but we will be there with you all in spirit. Hugs and love to you all, especially Cindy, God grant you all the strength and peace to get through this difficult time.

I will never have the words to express how lovely this woman was and all she did for me in such a short time.
She was somebody anyone would want to know.
As with many others, she was my mentor through Branford Hall. Sometimes I was unsure of myself, and she made it clear that she thought I was special and genuinely cared about me. That got me through a dark hour or two.
I’ll miss you very much.

She was definitely a force to be reckoned with.. I loved her, she was my teacher of at Bradford Hall I remember she made me take her blood first thing I walked in class even though I missed the practice the day before. Krysti was my medical assistant instructor for phlebotomy, she was witty, always kept us on our toes, and made us be our best version in her classroom. I would like to give the family my deepest condolences, prayers have gone out from all of my family here in New York as well as in Florida to the most greatest instructor / mentor and friend. Krysti was a very tough teacher that ended up becoming one of the greatest women that I know. She helped me through all the tough times I've had with her warm smile, great jokes and all-around wonderful personality. She may be gone cuz God wanted her to come home but she will never be forgotten from anyone that she's known.
