Margaret A. Buonanno Obituary

Margaret A. Buonanno, age 55 of Clifton Park, passed away on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at her home. Born on June 23, 1958 in Queens, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Margaret Frascinella. She was predeceased by her step-mother Ann M. Frascinella.

Margaret had a passion for helping others which was evident in her job as a Special Education aide at Karigon Elementary School. She was an avid gardener, a gourmet Italian cook, bargain hunter and a vintage cookware collector. She always made sure she baked everyone’s favorite Christmas cookie and made sure your pie preference was represented at the Thanksgiving table.

She is survived by her husband John Buonanno, children Matthew, Michelle, Nicholas, and Lisa Buonanno, whom she cherished and loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister Teresa (Joseph) Hagan, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Edward’s Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass following at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851, or by going to themmrf.org.
